Methodology
How Qur'an & Sunnah finds, grounds, and cites its answers.
Every answer is built only from a curated library of classical, public-domain Islamic works — the Qur'an and its tafsir, the hadith collections, the fiqh of the four Sunni schools, the creed of Ahl al-Sunna, and moderate works of tasawwuf.
When you ask a question, the system searches this library for the most relevant passages and composes an answer from them. Each answer names the works and pages it draws on, so you can verify it against the originals.
The grounding is Sunni and classical. Qur'an & Sunnah does not invent rulings and is not a fatwa service. On personal or sensitive matters it will encourage you to consult a living, qualified scholar.
The library is open: every source can be read and downloaded in full. Answers are available in seven languages, and the same sources ground every language.
